Occupational Therapists

Occupational Therapists -OT

Occupational Therapists are responsible for assessing and providing treatments that improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, and compensate for permanent loss of function due to mental or physical disabilities.  Their goal is to help patients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives.  Some job duties include:  evaluating patients, developing treatment programs, demonstrating the use of adaptive equipment, and maintaining records of patients’ progress.  Occupational therapists are required to have a minimum of a Master’s degree in occupational therapy, in addition to being certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.  All states require occupational therapists to be licensed to practice in that state.

V Platinum Consulting finds travel or permanent assignments for occupational therapists in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient and outpatient settings, home health settings, and school systems.  One year of occupational therapist experience is preferred; however, we can find assignments for new graduates that meet the education and certification requirement, even if they have minimal experience.
