Occupational Therapist Assistant - OTA
Occupational therapy assistants are supervised by occupational therapists and they are responsible for assisting with treatments that improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, and compensate for permanent loss of function due to physical or mental disabilities. Some job duties include: preparing patients for evaluations, implementing treatment plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist, and maintaining records of patient’s progress. Occupational therapy assistants must complete a minimum of a two to four year program that leads to a certificate, Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy. Also, they must be certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
V Platinum Consulting finds travel or permanent assignments nationwide for occupational therapy assistants in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient and outpatient settings, home health settings, and school systems. One year of occupational therapy assistant experience is preferred; however, we can find assignments for new graduates that meet the education and certification requirements, even if they have minimal experience. Our company also offers health insurance with the American Worker and 401k for employees who have worked with V Platinum for a full calendar year.
