Physical Therapists Assistant

Physical Therapist Assistant

Physical Therapy Assistants are supervised by physical therapists and assist with treatments to alleviate pain, maintain, improve, or restore function, and prevent dysfunction resulting from injury or disease.  Some job duties include:  helping patients perform exercises under the supervision of a physical therapist, maintaining records and reporting the patients’ progression or regression, providing assistive device training, and maintaining the treatment area.  Physical therapy assistants must complete a minimum of a two to four year program that leads to a certificate, Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy assistant.  They must also be certified by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.

V Platinum Consulting finds travel or permanent assignments for physical therapy assistants in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient and outpatient settings, home health settings, and school systems.  One year of physical therapy assistant experience is preferred; however, we can find assignments for new graduates that meet the education and certification requirement, even if they have minimal experience.
