Xray, Rad Tech - ARRT(R)

Radiologic Technologists are responsible for capturing X-Ray images of the human body.  Some job duties include:  preparing the patients for exams, positioning patients, X-Ray equipment, X-Ray film, and other equipment, operating X-Ray equipment to capture X-Rays of the body, performing fluoroscopies as needed, completing records and reports concerning X-rays, and maintaining X-Ray equipment.  Radiologic Technologists must complete a minimum of a two to four year program that leads to a certificate, Associate, or Bachelor’s degree in radiography.  They must also receive certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.  All states require radiologic technologists to be licensed to practice in that state.
