Some job duties include: operating all radiographic equipment, maintaining knowledge of interventional radiology procedures, assisting with procedures such as angioplasties, peripherals, stenting, and clots, maintaining the radiographic equipment, and completing diagnostic reports for interpretation by the physician. Special procedures technologists must complete a two to four year program that leads to a certificate, Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree in radiography or special procedures.
